As a certified executive coach, I coach leaders, executives, and emerging leaders to understand and improve their leadership performance, leadership presence, emotional intelligence, and communication skills. I specialize in whole-person coaching for emotional intelligence, effective communication, and collaboration, developing understanding of leadership presence and thus facilitating the intrapersonal work necessary to help clients expand their personal and professional potential. As an executive coach, my superpower is deep listening both at the verbal and non-verbal levels. I listen for word choice, observe body language, listen for pauses etc. and use these cues to help my clients understand how they may be perceived as a leader and define their leadership presence. From these observations, I help them overcome their perceived fears and build upon their successes. The coaching relationship is framed by focusing on my client’s goals with the intent of facilitating his/her success. Through our conversations, it is my job to listen with intent and assist them in ways that will keep them moving forward personally and professionally. I assess my client’s success through their ability to increase their effectiveness, broaden their thinking, understand, and identify their strengths and achieve their goals. Likewise, success is achieved by breaking down obstacles, overcoming fears and moving through challenges. When my client is moving forward, I view that as success.
