Paul Coombes

I am an experienced coach and trainer with a background in retail management, customer services and procurement spanning over 25 years, including leadership roles with Budgens Retail and the John Lewis Partnership. In 2004 I set up my own businesses in Retail, eCommerce and Import/Export which are still running today. I also work as an Associate Director for an International Consultancy specialising in leadership development, executive coaching and change management for SME's and global corporate businesses. Our clients include Google, Centrica, Dole, You Tube, LinkedIn, Vodafone, B&Q (Kingfisher Group), Dr Martens and Boots, among others. As well as driving our business development strategy, I also undertake 1:1 executive coaching and deliver and facilitate our in-house leadership training programmes, including our flagship "Coaching Excellence Programme", which over 5000 Google managers have graduated from. Our Programmes have an average of 90%+ rating for effectiveness and exceeding expectations based over our 10 success measures. I enjoy working with Start-Up, Micro and SME clients and I am passionate about helping people to grow their businesses, and themselves - supporting clients to fulfil their goals and to reach their full potential. I have a consultative coaching style, balancing compassion with challenge and structure sessions in a safe and open environment, to ensure clients are able to explore their options with practical and actionable outcomes. I am an associate member of Association for Coaching (AC) and International Society for Coaching Psychology (ISCP) and regularly attend CPD workshops and seminars to keep myself in touch with current coaching trends.
