As a hetero, cis-female in my later 50's, I am in the minority in my family. I am open and accepting of all people and lifestyles (with the exception of those who hurt others) and extremely liberal in general. I am a cancer nurse by trade, and have been working with patients and families at all stages of treatment and at end of life for 26 years. I am NOT a licensed therapist, but I am an excellent listener with a very kind, non-judgemental and nurturing energy. I have spent my life supporting family, friends and patients through debilitating life decisions and devastating diagnoses. Do you need to vent about the difficulties of being a caregiver?
