About

My coaching approach is based on my Co-Active training and my strength is creating a safe, non-judgmental space where my clients feel comfortable to reconnect with their true selves and explore their unlimited potential. My coaching is based on the four Co-Active cornerstones of believing my client to be naturally creative, resourceful and whole; maintaining a whole person focus; dancing in this moment; and evoking transformation. I design an alliance with my clients with the aim of empowering them to develop more self-awareness and personal growth. I believe that my client can find everything they need within them and we partner together to deepen their learning and forward their desired actions and outcomes. I bring a range of industry specific experience and understanding based on my time spent working in different areas, and have coached people in law, finance, tech, education, retail, sales, recruitment, marketing, the creative industries, and art, as well as entrepreneurs, university students, humanitarians and those facing redundancy or a career change. I have also worked with parents looking to return to the workplace after taking a career break to have children. I often use a metaphor with my clients to explain the three different focuses of my approach. I normally say that the topic that they bring to the session is like the leaf of a tree, but that during the session we will follow the conversation down the twig to the branch, to the trunk and then to the roots of the tree. This is where we find their values and life purpose and how much they are living in alignment with those, the perspectives they are currently holding (consciously or unconsciously), their self-limiting beliefs and how emotionally present they are in their lives, and that this is all raw material for coaching. In this way we foster lasting transformational change, as opposed to a surface level shift in behaviour. If I notice that my client is feeling stuck, I use a range of techniques to help them step into different perspectives, so that the client can make a resonant choice as to how they would like to move forwards. If emotion comes up in the session, I use techniques based in somatic therapy to process the emotions in the moment, including talking about where the client can feel the emotion in the body and whether it has a texture or a temperature etc. After staying with the feeling the client often experiences a shift and perhaps a realisation and some new awareness. I work together with my clients to identify any negative voices which come up in the sessions and we personify the voices of their protectors or guardians. I lead some visualisations around identifying and connecting with their inner self or inner leader, with the aim of empowering the client to be more consciously self-led. I am interested in and learning more about Internal Family Systems theory, created by Richard Schwartz. By focusing on both self-reflection and practical action, both ‘being’ and ‘doing’, my clients build a deeper sense of purpose and alignment in their lives and a mindset rooted in self-leadership, autonomy and self-empowerment. Whether the goal is personal growth, career advancement, or greater life balance, my clients learn to connect with their own inner compass to create sustainable change. By supporting clients in aligning their actions with their values and potential, I guide them on a journey that honours both the big-picture vision and the day-to-day progress they need to thrive.
