Ally Fukada

As a mental health care and EAP counselor, my philosophy is that mental wellbeing is something that all humans, despite bureaucracy, finances, and stigma, especially among Asian communities, deserve. It breaks my heart when individuals are unable to care for their mental well-being because of cost, logistics, stigma, and a lack of understanding. If we can provide them with the information to help promote their well-being, we will be able to facilitate a more productive, positive, and overall well-rounded work environment for individuals. My ultimate goal is to break the mental health stigma in Asian communities and facilitate environments where individuals can recognize the importance of maintaining their mental wellbeing and find a space where they feel comfortable to access care.
