During my 27 years as Non-Commissioned Aircrew in the Royal Air Force (RAF), I came across a new skill - Performance Coaching. I gained a coaching qualification with the RAF and used it to great effect, helping fellow personnel to achieve their goals and overcome barriers to empower them. I then went onto gaining a diploma in personal performance life coaching, where I used the GROW model, active listening (level 3), non-judgement, reflection, paraphrasing, visualisation and open questioning to develop a strong rapport with my clients, who went onto achieving what they needed.
